The Dell PowerEdge R640 is a high-density 1U rackmount server designed for demanding enterprise workloads, virtualization, database applications, and data centre environments. Powered by 2 × Intel Xeon Silver 4208 processors and equipped with 768GB of DDR4 ECC Registered memory, this configuration provides substantial processing and memory capacity for intensive server workloads.

The server features 8 Small Form Factor (SFF) drive bays and is configured with 2 × 480GB SAS drives. Storage management is provided by the Dell PERC H730P controller, while the Broadcom BCM57800 provides network connectivity. Dual redundant 750W hot-plug power supplies provide reliable power delivery. This configuration also includes 2 drive caddies and 4 drive blanks.
