The Arista Networks XVR-10071-20 QSFP-40G-UNIV Optical Transceiver is a high-performance, universal QSFP+ module designed for enterprise and data centre environments that require flexible 40 Gigabit Ethernet fibre connectivity. Operating at 1310nm, this transceiver supports both multimode (MMF) and single-mode fibre (SMF), allowing broad deployment flexibility with a single module type.

Designed for reliable, long-distance optical transmission, it supports link distances of up to 150 meters over OM3 MMF and up to 1 kilometre over SMF. The hot-swappable QSFP+ form factor enables easy installation and maintenance without network downtime, while Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) provides real-time visibility into optical performance metrics for proactive network management.
