The Cisco QSFP-40G-SR-BD is a refurbished 40GBASE-SR Bi-Directional QSFP optical transceiver designed for duplex multimode fiber connections. Using a unique bidirectional technology over a single pair of fibers, it transmits and receives simultaneously on the same strand, providing high-speed 40Gbps connectivity without additional fiber runs.

Operating across wavelengths from 832 to 918nm, this hot-swappable module supports cable distances of up to 30m on OM2, 100m on OM3, and 150m on OM4 fiber. It is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3 standards and QSFP+ MSA specifications, making it ideal for high-density data center deployments and enterprise backbone networks.
